DirectAccess allows users to connect to a remote user without taking the help of a VPN. However, the problem starts when you put your computer on ‘Sleep’ mode. Instead of restarting your client PC to troubleshoot this issue, you need to follow these tips and tricks.
Your computer might have been incorrectly detected as being outside the domain network
To fix this problem on Windows 10 Enterprise edition, follow these suggestions-
1] Tweak settings in Internet Properties
There are mainly two things that you need to disable to solve this error on Windows 10 PC. They are –
Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zonesInclude all sites that bypass the proxy server.
To find them, follow these steps. Open the Internet Properties window. You can search for ‘internet options’ in the Taskbar search box and open the corresponding result. Alternatively, you can press Win+R, type inetcpl.cpl and hit the Enter button. After that, switch to the Security tab, select Local intranet, and click on the Sites button.
Here you should find three options-
Include all local (intranet) sites not listed in other zonesInclude all sites that bypass the proxy serverInclude all network paths (UNCs)
You need to remove the mark from the first two checkboxes and save your change by clicking the OK button.
2] Delete registry keys from Registry Editor
If users are getting problems while opening a website in Microsoft Edge, they can fix it by removing some registry keys. Before getting into the steps, you should back up the registry files for safety purposes. Now, open the Registry Editor. For that, you can press Win+R, type regedit, and hit the Enter button. After that, navigate to the following path- In the MicrosoftEdge key, you will find another sub-key called TabProcConfig. Click on it, and delete all the entries that include your IP address. After that, close the Registry Editor and try again. This time your problem should be gone.
